What is our Vision?
We believe the public should have fresh, local Cape Cod seafood from fishermen they know and trust.
Who is our Customer?
A person who appreciates and values high-quality, local seafood and is willing to support traditional fisheries of Cape Cod by purchasing directly from local Captains.
Our goals for the CSF:
For the Customers:
- Through supporting local Captains, we garner an appreciation for “fresh” and “seasonal” while also understanding what seafood is available locally, who catches it and how it’s caught.
- By taking time to connect with our seafood sources, we nurture an appreciation for “slow food” and are healthier for our efforts.

We learn more about the regulatory and fishery issues which directly impact the livelihoods of our traditional day-boat fleet.
For the Fishermen:
- Control -- Participating in a CSF provides fishermen a market avenue which offers direct input and control over pricing of their product, enables differentiation of the product in the existing market space and provides a diversified market to sell the product.
- Commitment – CSF customers demand a high-quality, fresh product caught in the most sustainable manner. Participating fishermen guarantee quality and freshness while also voluntarily adhering to conservation measures which increase the health of the resource and the productivity of the ecosystem.

Community – Participating fishermen are from some of the oldest day-boat fishing ports in New England. Proud of their product, these fishermen are small business owners in our community who are committed to ensuring the rebuilding of fish stocks and the viability of a traditional, day-boat fishing livelihood for future generations.
