Ben was brought on board as a member of the CCCHFA policy team in 2008 where he focuses on the health of Groundfish and Dogfish fisheries. Before moving to the Cape, Ben worked for the Charles River Conservancy in Cambridge concentrating on water quality issues and public access to recreational areas. Ben discovered his interest in ocean and fisheries policy while attaining his Bachelor’s degree in Government and Environmental Studies at Bowdoin College in coastal Maine. As a native New Englander, Ben appreciates the communal benefits that small businesses and industries contribute to the unique quality of life in New England and he hopes to pursue policies that help sustain and develop the vital fishing industry here.
