Nancy ran her own public relations company, Civetta Comunicazioni, which focused on the culinary industry, for almost 10 years. She established a reputation for her communications work in the seafood industry, having helped shape brands and created market demand for sustainable seafood, while educating the media and greater culinary community in the process. She spent the last three years working with Pew Environment Group's New England Fisheries Program. Having grown up as a wash-a-shore in the fishing village of Wellfleet, she is familiar with challenges the fishing industry faces and solutions to keep fishermen in business. She is committed to fostering local food connections on Cape Cod.
